Day 1:
I have found myself on a strange world; I can't recall how I got here or really what I'm supposed to do.
I've noticed that next to me was a note which read "survive". Along with the note was a backpack with what appears to be a small frail copper knife, a weak pickaxe, and a decent axe.
Not soon after examining my new items I've found a couple of the worlds inhabitants. A strange creature made of what looks like slime and an interesting rabbit which looks normal but just gives me a weird feeling like something evil is lurking nearby.
Leaving behind the inhabitants I went exploring this new landscape, I soon ran across a mushroom which was quite a bit larger than I've normally seen it being about 2 feet tall. I had to take this specimen with me and find out if I can use it for anything.
Close to where the mushroom was I saw what appear to be some type of ore through a small crack in the ground while determining how to get it I was attacked by some of those slimes. I have to assume I killed it because it exploded leaving behind just some of the slimy substance it was made of. I decided to keep this substance as it might come in handy later.
I dug down to the ore I found and determined it to be copper, since that seems to be a primary metal on this world I dug it out and shove it into my backpack.
Since I was here and I hadn't used my axe yet I picked a nice tree and began to swing. Much to my surprise the tree fell pretty easily leaving quite a bit of wood.
On my way back to where I awoke in this world I found another person...
I was extremely startled by this new development but I approached him and began a conversation. He informed me he was "The Guide". He commented on the stack of wood I had and suggested that I go gather some more. I'm not sure why but I listened to him.
On my way to find some nice large trees to fall I ran across some more copper buried in the ground so I figured this was as good a time as any to pick it up.
Once I got the last piece of copper I noticed just below it there was some iron buried within the ground, I dug it up and collecting it figuring it was a nice find.
At this point I started questioning my backpack seeing as I had mushrooms/slime gel/wood/ and different ores and it doesn't seem to have gained any weight.
I figured though that it must have to do with this strange world.
Just up the hill from where I found the iron and copper I found a nice patch of mushrooms and seeing as I've seen the rabbits chewing on these I thought it wouldn't hurt to assume that these are edible.
Slightly forgetting the plan of getting wood I wandered over the hill and discovered a small lake with a few clay pots under the water. After breaking the pots I found some coins and a couple bottles filled with red liquid. I wasn't too sure what this fluid was but figured I'd find out later from "The Guide".
On the far side of this lake though the bank was much too steep for me to climb so I had to head back the way I came.
On my way back the guide stopped me and reminded me of the wood seeing as it was getting late in the day telling me I should make a house starting with a nice flat area to make a foundation on.
Which that I started with a small area flattening it out when the guide yelled at me to make a crafting table and get a hammer to help with some of the dirt walls that are far too hard for the pick to break through.
Once I bugged the guide enough he finally told me how I create this table and he also gave me information on making a couple other things like a wooden sword and torches.
I was very surprised when the guide told me that slime gel is both very flammable and edible but only once refined and combined with mushrooms (which are edible themselves).
Once I got all my equipment together I headed up the hill again and began to collect more wood for a house.
I got back to the plain where I flatten the land and continued the building process.
I got the house done added some torches and moved the crafting table in and made a chair to make it a bit more comfortable.
As the sun set I stood talking to The Guide saying how I'd like and refresh myself in the cool night air he told me that it wasn't the best idea as the night is when things come out.
As I tried to get out of him what he meant by that, the moon started to rise and that’s when I saw them the living dead headed straight for our little shack.
